Restaurant Essence was established in 2010. It is owned and ran by an Austrian chef Filip Blazek and his Slovak partner Oxana Litvajova.

Filip is a professionally trained chef with working experience ranging from top restaurants in Austria, Germany, Spain, Caribbean to 6 star cruise ships.

The idea of Essence is to provide fine dining experience in a relaxed and romantic atmosphere.

We are proud to support local business. The wines served in Essence are produced in two outstanding Zakynthian wineries - Solomos and Grampsas.

The ingredients for your meals are also preferably local and hand-picked daily by Filip, e.g. the olive oil, the fish and much more.

Upon personal contact, we can also provide special menus for smaller parties.
